There are some over-the-top tales coming out of D.C. over the past few weeks. Some are better than a Hollywood script. Oh, not the good scripts. These read like the ones that are deliberately overlooked by producers because they lack believability.
Here’s a bizarre accusation from Rep. Maxine Waters of California.
“And I want to tell you, for these members of his Cabinet who remain and try to defend him, they're not going to be able to go to a restaurant, to be able to stop at a gas station, to be able to shop at a department store. The people are going to turn on them, they're going to protest, they're going to absolutely harass them until they tell the president: ‘No, I can't hang with you.'”
Oh my. Sounds like she’s trying to stir folks up! ! Inciting your constituents to violence is never a good thing, honey. (Though, many took her advice and did lash out at Trump’s supporters in restaurants and other public arenas.)
“Inciting violence” is a topic near and dear to her heart when it can be used against someone else.
After the “insurrection” at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th Maxine has decided that President Trump should be tried for pre-meditated murder. (I’m not even kidding. This is a completely acceptable punishment for Trump, to her way of thinking.) In her version of the story, the words in his speech incited such violence that he was personally responsible for the five people who died that day.
Seriously? In Maxine’s version of the story, Trump not only told people to commit murder. . .he actually premeditated it?
Where does she get off claiming something this extreme?
While on The ReidOut on MSNBC, Waters said:
“They are following the president of the United States of America, who had advance planning about the invasion that took place in our Capitol. There's information that some of the planning came out of individuals working in his campaign. As a matter of fact, he absolutely should be charged with premeditated murder because of the lives that were lost with this invasion, with this insurrection.”
Maxine Waters: Trump ‘Absolutely Should Be Charged With Premeditated Murder’
Why charge Trump for the crime when he wasn’t even in the building? Because, if you believe the narrative coming from The Left, his speech to conservatives was so hateful and violent that it incited the crowd to attack the U.S. Capitol and murder people.
Friends, I listened to that speech live. In real time. I didn’t feel it incited violence at all. I found it inspiring as he replayed many of his accomplishments over the past four years and as he talked about the specifics of the election fraud.
But don’t take my word for it. You can read it for yourself online.
Not that hearing his actual words has stopped Democrats like Maxine from moving forward with the impeachment hearing. They’re going to grind him into the ground if they have anything to say about it. All in the name of saving the country, of course.
Could this story get any more dramatic? I feel like I’m in 6th grade all over again and the kids are fighting at the back of the bus.
I don’t know how this tale will end, but I do know that Maxine (like AOC) needs to cut back on the over-the-top dramatic flare. She reminds me of that theater kid who always over-played his role. It was hard to watch him on the stage because he was embarrassing himself without even realizing it.
That’s kind of where we are with these D.C. types. They’re so extreme in their verbiage that one can’t help but roll one’s eyes. I’ve rolled mine so much over the past couple weeks that they’re threatening to roll right out of my head and onto the floor.
